A resin set of Vickers aircraft machine guns in 11 mm caliber, the so-called balloon gun, 1:32 scale from GasPatch. The package holds two pieces for detailing kits of First World War aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not an airplane model but a resin set of accessories. The package holds two pieces of the Vickers aircraft machine gun in 11 mm caliber, nicknamed the balloon gun. The parts replace the simplified armament of plastic kits and give it a faithful look.
The 11 mm caliber version of the Vickers fired incendiary ammunition and was used to shoot down observation and barrage balloons, which were resistant to ordinary bullets because of their gas filling. Hence the nickname balloon gun. It was a sturdier form of the classic aircraft Vickers.
The parts are cast in resin and are intended for more experienced modelers. Before gluing, wash the parts free of mold release agent residue, cut the casting gates off carefully and bond the joints with super glue (cyanoacrylate). Protect your airways while sanding. We recommend toning and weathering the metal shades.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted as resin parts. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
