An accessory ammunition set in 1:35 scale: the 7.5 cm Gr.Patr.38 Hl/C shaped-charge round for the Kw.K.40 and Stu.K.40 guns with the L/43 as well as the L/48 barrel.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set depicts a fixed round of 7.5 cm caliber with a shaped-charge projectile, intended for the Kw.K.40 gun and for the Stu.K.40 in assault guns. It applies to both barrel lengths, L/43 as well as L/48; those numbers give the length of the barrel in multiples of the caliber. The Kw.K.40 was carried by Panzer IV medium tanks from the F2 version, and the Stu.K.40 by the StuG III and StuG IV assault guns.
The abbreviation Hl refers to the shaped charge, which burns through armor with a concentrated jet of material. The effect of such a projectile does not depend on its striking velocity, so it holds up even at longer range, where an armor-piercing shell would already be losing power. The letter after the slash distinguishes the development stages of the round; the Hl/C version is the later of them, after the Hl/B.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the rest off; the tip of the projectile is the thinnest place, so pay extra attention there. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. On German ammunition the color coding of projectiles differed according to the type of filling and the period, so work from a period photograph or from the manufacturer's instructions; those are also a guide to the choice of glue, because that depends on the material of the parts.
The set suits an open fighting compartment, the ammunition bins in a hull and a scene with ammunition being replenished, where it is often interesting to show several types of round side by side. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
