An accessory ammunition set in 1:35 scale: the 7.5 cm Pzgr.Patr.39 armor-piercing round for the Kw.K.40 and Stu.K.40 guns with the L/43 as well as the L/48 barrel.

The set depicts a fixed round of 7.5 cm caliber, that is, a projectile firmly joined to its cartridge case, as the loader put it into the breech in a single movement. It was intended for the Kw.K.40 gun and its Stu.K.40 variant, in both of the barrel lengths these weapons came in. The abbreviations L/43 and L/48 do not denote the caliber but the length of the barrel expressed in multiples of the caliber. The Kw.K.40 was carried by Panzer IV medium tanks from the F2 version onward, and the Stu.K.40 by the StuG III and StuG IV assault guns.
The Panzergranatpatrone 39 was the basic armor-piercing ammunition of these guns and made up a substantial part of the load carried. The projectile had a light ballistic cap over its penetrating cap, inside it carried a small explosive filler with a base fuze, and at the rear a tracer, by whose path the commander corrected his aim.
Cut the surplus material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the rest off, so that the shape of the base of the case and the edge of the mouth are preserved. Wash and degrease the parts before painting. On German ammunition the color coding of projectiles differed according to the type of filling and the period, so work from a period photograph or from the manufacturer's instructions; those are also a guide to the choice of glue, because that depends on the material of the parts.
The set suits building an open fighting compartment, the racks and stowage bins inside a hull, a scene with ammunition being replenished, and spent cases thrown down by a vehicle. Paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
