Eduard 1:35 Archer side skirts is a photo-etched add-on set of side armor skirts for a model of the British Archer tank destroyer in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched add-on set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory of thin brass sheet that adds faithful side skirts and covers with fine texture. The photo-etched parts are thinner and crisper than plastic ones and markedly raise the level of detail.
The Archer was a British tank destroyer of the Second World War that carried a 17-pounder anti-tank gun on a chassis derived from the Valentine tank. Characteristic was the placement of the gun facing rearward over the back of the hull.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife, shape them with a bending tool or over a straight edge and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the surfaces and apply a primer before painting. Finish the running gear and the interior before closing up the hull; for weathering, use washes and pigments with mud and dust effects.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
