This is a photo-etched metal diorama accessory in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. The set holds parts for assembling a park bench in the type A variant. It is neither a vehicle model nor a figure, but street furniture that gives a diorama civilian life and a point of scale comparison beside equipment and people.
A bench is a small but strongly legible feature: from it the viewer immediately judges the size of a scene and recognizes that it is an inhabited place. The photo-etched version holds the thin sections of the metal side frames and the slats of the seat at a scale that is hard to imitate with a plastic molding.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface, and never break them out by twisting. A photo-etch bending tool or two steel rulers will serve for the bends. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); a two-part epoxy holds better on larger joints. Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a base coat meant for metals, and only then acrylics or enamels. You create weathering with a wash in the joints, a drybrush and pigments.
This is a diorama accessory, not a complete model. Glue, paints and a base board are not included in the package.
