Ten resin castings of a low city block. The highest number of pieces in this whole group and the best choice for the perimeter of a pedestrian zone.
Responsibility details are not available.
Around a market, in front of a station or on the edge of a square no continuous wall is built. A row of low pieces is installed there, between which you can walk and push a cart through, and yet nobody drives off through them. Blocks like these are also often moved about, because the boundary changes according to whether there is a market, a concert or an ordinary day on the square. Hence their appearance: battered edges, mismatched shades and blocks that clearly do not come from one delivery.
Ten resin parts, that is, the most of all the barriers in this group. Lower shapes are easier to place and in a finished scene they do not hide what is meant to be visible behind them.
It pays to mix three different grays and paint each piece differently, or to leave one markedly fresher than the rest. The top surface tends to be smoothed from people sitting on it, the sides carry the remains of torn-off posters and a dark band from splashing water clings near the ground. Anyone who wants to go into detail adds a reflector or the remains of a strip of reflective tape.
The castings are in the 1:35 ratio, so they reach roughly from the knees to mid-thigh of a standing figure.
A row of low pieces leads the viewer's eye. Laid parallel to the edge of the base it stiffens the scene, turned at an angle it opens the view into depth. It is worth setting them out dry first and photographing the scene from eye height, because that is exactly where it will be seen from by anyone who stops at the model.
