This notice board (Werbetafel) with the German inscriptions Parteisitzung (a party meeting) and Programm from the manufacturer MAiM represents the typical official or association notice board that belonged to the streets of German-speaking towns. In 1:35 scale it serves as a readable period detail that gives a street its social context.
You place the board by the entrance of an association building, a hall or an office, or on a street corner, where it served as a public notice board for announcements. It suits Central European urban scenes of various periods, because notice boards with the program of meetings and events were part of the ordinary color of the streets. It combines naturally with the other billboards of the MAiM range (a cinema, trade offers, opening hours), with which you can put together a living, believable street.
Clean the casting and prime it. An official notice board suits sober colors, a dark frame, a light face, discreet aging. A fine dust wash along the bottom edge and unobtrusive chipping of the corners will give the board the patina of everyday service; in a ruin scene you can add more pronounced damage and faded areas as well.
