A figure of a British sailor from the Second World War for a model of an X-class midget submarine, 1:35 scale, catalog code AER350019.
Responsibility details are not available.
A British sailor from the period of the Second World War, tied to the midget submarines designated as X-craft. These were very small submarines with a crew of a few men, meant for penetrating protected anchorages a large submarine could not get into. The crew worked in them in an extremely cramped space and in dress that differed from ordinary naval service.
A figure in 1:35 scale for completing a model of the submarine or a scene at a quay. The exact pose and the number of pieces are stated on the manufacturer's packaging. A figure beside the hull shows at once how small the vessel really was, which with midget submarines is half of the final impression.
Wash and degrease the parts before painting, cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the figure and sand the remainder. Lay down a base coat and only paint on top of that. Build the clothing on a muted tone and bring it to life with a glaze in the folds and lightening on the edges; colors that are too rich make a figure in 1:35 scale look optically larger. Leave the face and the hands until the end and even the surface out at the end with a matte clear coat. When you are placing the figure in a scene, seat it on the base dry before you glue anything.
The model of the submarine, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
