1:35 Chemical Storage Containers, part one is a modeling accessory from Eureka XXL: containers for storing chemicals in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for models and dioramas, not a vehicle kit. The theme is storage containers for chemicals, that is, drums, jerrycans and barrels of the kind that lie around workshops, stores, refueling points and industrial sites. The accessory is done in 1:35 scale and belongs among jerrycans, drums and containers. This is the first part of the theme, with a second part following on from it.
Containers are rewarding in a diorama twice over. First they fill empty spots and give a scene its scale; second they carry color and story: bright warning shades, lettering and rust give away at once what kind of site this is. Distribute them irregularly, some upright, some lying or tipped over, one leaning against a wall. A regular row of aligned drums looks artificial, except in genuinely storage scenes, where it is right. They look good in workshop and service views, on the beds of trucks, at field refueling points and in civilian industrial dioramas, where military vehicles need not appear at all.
Clean and degrease the parts and lay down a primer appropriate to the material in the package, choosing the glue by the same test. Plastic containers look convincing in a saturated shade with a satin sheen, metal ones flat instead, with patches of corrosion and wear on the edges and the hoops. Suggest ingrained dirt with a dark wash around the closures and in the pressed grooves, and add streaks sparingly from the top down. Dust pigment on the lower part of a container settles it into the terrain. Keep lettering and warning marks small; at this scale a hint is enough.
This is a modeling accessory, not a model in its own right. Paints, glue, figures and the base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
