A set of workable individual track links for the British Chieftain main battle tank in 1:35 scale from Takom. This is not a model of the tank, but replacement tracks that replace the tracks from the original kit with more accurate, workable links. Every link is assembled on its own and after assembly the tracks stay flexible, so they sag naturally over the road wheels and follow the ground better.
The package consists of the individual plastic track links with their pins, from which the left and the right track are assembled. The set is intended as an upgrade of Chieftain tank kits — it replaces the factory tracks, whether one-piece or link by link, with a more faithful version with a realistic sag.
Glue the links with liquid cement for plastic and let them set so that the joints stay movable — do not glue them solid. Fit the assembled track onto the running gear before it dries completely, so that the sag can be shaped. The tracks are more comfortable to paint and weather separately, off the hull.
This is an accessory set of tracks, not a complete model. The kit of the tank, glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package.
