An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese Jiefang CA-30 military cargo truck in 1:35 scale from Trumpeter. The model captures the six-wheeled off-road truck including the cab and the canvas tarpaulin over the cargo bed. The box contains parts in gray plastic and rubber tires.
The Jiefang CA-30 was the first mass-produced Chinese military cargo truck, introduced in 1958 by the First Automobile Works. It was a 6x6 off-road vehicle with a payload of around 2.5 tons, derived in design from the Soviet ZIL-157. It served to carry both troops and cargo and became a widespread type in the Chinese army.
Assemble the chassis, the axles and the drivetrain, and only then the body. Pick the canvas tarpaulin out with a dry brush. Apply the base coat with an airbrush over a primer; the weathering is built up with washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
