This is a resin figure in 1:35 scale from LZ models. It represents an American driver from the D7 bulldozer and tractor crew series. The figure is cast in several parts (torso, arms and head) with sharp rendering of the uniform and is intended to be placed on a model of the D7 engineer bulldozer or tractor and to bring a diorama to life. The figure wears a period field uniform matching the crew of heavy machinery.
The Caterpillar D7 bulldozer and tractor was among the most widespread engineer machines of the US Army in the Second World War. It was used for building and improving roads, for earthworks, for clearing passages and for supply logistics. The crews were drivers and mechanics whose work was crucial to the advance of the units.
First separate the resin parts from the casting blocks, wash the mold release residue off and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Fill the joints and small gaps with putty. Apply a base primer before painting, then build the flesh and fabric tones with an airbrush or a brush; bring out the face and the shadows of the uniform with glazes and a dry brush.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the machinery model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
