1:35 HAD models decals, German Second World War numbers, part 1 is a decal sheet with digits 9 mm high for models of armored equipment in 1:35 scale.
Responsibility details are not available.
The first part of a series of decal sheets with numbers for models of German armored equipment of the Second World War period. It is not a kit but an accessory for a model. It is made by the Hungarian brand HAD models as wet, waterslide decals on a clear carrier film. For this sheet the manufacturer states a digit height of 9 mm, which in 1:35 scale corresponds to markings of roughly thirty centimeters on the real vehicle.
Tactical numbers on the turrets and hulls of armored vehicles were an aid to identification: they gave the vehicle's company and platoon and its place within it, so that a unit could be told apart on the move and from a distance. The style differed by period and by unit, which is why a whole series of sheets exists with different styles and color variants.
Spray the area with gloss clear coat before application. Cut the digit out close to the edge of the film, soak it in lukewarm water and once it releases transfer it to the dampened place. When making up numbers of several digits, try the spacing dry first and mark a guideline in pencil, so that the numbers do not end up crooked. On busy areas use a decal softener. Once dry, unify the model with a matte varnish, which makes the edges of the carrier film disappear.
A decal sheet is an accessory for a model. The model, paints and varnishes are not included in the package.
