Engraved plate - German Grill 1:35 from Plusmodel is a metal sheet with the engraved pattern of a German cooling grille. It serves as a detailing material for kits and dioramas; it is not a vehicle model.

A metal sheet with the engraved pattern of a grille of the German type in 1:35 scale. The product is not a kit but a detailing material. A modeler cuts parts of the needed shape out of the sheet and replaces simplified plastic grilles with them, or builds elements of his own for a diorama from them.
The grilles above an engine bay, radiator covers and protective gratings are, on models of military equipment, among the places that most give away whether a build is careful. For technological reasons injection-molded plastic deals with them as shallow engraving or a solid surface. An engraved metal sheet gives the same place a fine regular relief at a negligible thickness, so the result reads as a real grille and not as a printed pattern. It can also be used for accessories in a scene, for example for the covers of generators and the ventilation of workshop buildings.
First draw the shape out on paper, transfer the template to the sheet and cut it with a sharp knife along a metal ruler. Level the edges with a fine file and, before gluing, check that the base is flat. It is glued with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. Degrease the metal and spray it with a base coat, otherwise the paint will not hold on a smooth surface. A grille looks best when a dark wash is let into it to deepen the shadows and the edges are lightly brought out with a dry brush. A little dark pigment can be added into the hollows as a reminder of drawn-in dust.
This is a detailing accessory, not a model in its own right. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
