A photo-etched detail set for the Finnish BT-42 assault gun - vol. 1, basic set in 1:35 from Aber. It is not a model but a set of photo-etched parts for raising the detail of a plastic kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
A photo-etched detail set from the Polish manufacturer Aber in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of its own but a set of fine metal parts with which you replace or complete the coarser plastic parts of a kit of the Finnish BT-42 assault gun, markedly refining its appearance. The basic volume 1 usually covers the key surfaces of the hull and the superstructure. The exact content of the package is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The BT-42 was a Finnish assault gun of the Second World War. It came about by rebuilding a captured Soviet BT-7 fast tank, on whose chassis the Finns mounted a new armored turret with a British 114 mm howitzer. The vehicle was fielded on the Finnish-Soviet front and is an unusual conversion of interest to collectors.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a cutting surface, bend them with a bending tool or a steel ruler and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal first and give it a coat of primer so that the paint holds. After painting, the fine details stand out once they are picked out with a wash and a drybrush.
This is a standalone photo-etched accessory for experienced modelers. The model itself, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
