1:35 Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind is a plastic kit of the anti-aircraft armored vehicle from Revell. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted.

This is an injection-molded plastic kit, not a finished model. The 1:35 scale is the most widespread one for armored vehicles, so the model is easily complemented with figures, accessories and diorama features of the same format. The exact content of the package, the number of parts and the marking schemes are given in the instructions enclosed with the kit.
The Flakpanzer IV Wirbelwind is an anti-aircraft armored vehicle built on the chassis of the medium tank Panzer IV. The original turret was replaced by a low open turret of multi-faceted shape with quick-firing automatic armament of 2 cm caliber in a four-barrel arrangement. The open top made it easier for the crew to observe the airspace and let the fumes escape from the barrels, but at the same time it did not protect the crew from above. The chassis stayed as taken over from the basic tank, including the road wheels on leaf springs and the upper return rollers. The vehicle was built in small numbers at the end of the Second World War, predominantly by converting hulls manufactured earlier.
Because of the open turret the inside is visible, so paint its walls, the armament mounting and the floor before you close the turret up and seat it. It is also sensible to resolve the running gear and the tracks before the fenders go on. Nip the parts off with cutters and glue them with liquid cement for plastic, which wicks into the joint. Primer unifies the surface and improves the adhesion of the paint. The four-barrel armament has thin barrels that bend easily, so fit them only at the end of the build. For the patina a dark wash into the recesses, fine emphasis of the edges and dust pigments on the lower part of the hull and the running gear suit well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
