What the bottles do in a scene

Compressed gas bottles for technical gases in 1:35 scale. Building and painting tips

Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little way from the part and lightly sand the remainder, so that the cylindrical surface stays smooth; every flat spot shows up on a cylinder. The color coding by type of gas differs from country to country and from period to period, so work from a photograph of the subject you are building and do not follow today's standard. The scene benefits if you do not line the bottles up in a row: one bottle leaning, one lying on its side and a scuffed bottom rim read as more used than a new set.
