A set of photo-etched parts from the Polish maker Aber, with copper wire added. It is neither a kit nor a finished model — it is an aftermarket accessory for plastic models of the German eighteen-ton heavy half-tracked artillery tractor Sd.Kfz.9 FAMO in 1:35 scale. It is an add-on set (vol.2) that follows on from the basic set and widens the range of detail.
The set refines and adds further outer elements of the vehicle: brackets, mesh, tool clips, hinges, small sheet metal parts and, with the wire supplied, towing and lashing elements as well. The model gains a high level of articulation this way.
Separate the parts with a sharp scalpel on a hard surface and make the bends in a photo-etch bending tool. Glue them with cyanoacrylate glue or epoxy. Degrease the metal before gluing and treat it with a primer for metal before painting. The add-on set comes out best in combination with the basic set.
This is a metal accessory for a model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
