An Aber photo-etched add-on detail set in 1:35 scale for a model of the German Sturmgeschütz III, Ausf. B (Sd.Kfz. 142) assault gun. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory for raising the fidelity.
Responsibility details are not available.
This set is a photo-etched detail accessory from the Polish manufacturer Aber, not a kit of its own. It is the second part, the add-on set, following on from the basic set, and it serves to replace the coarser plastic parts with fine metal features on a model of the early Sturmgeschütz III version B. The exact content of the photo-etched frets differs from one set of this kind to another.
The Sturmgeschütz III (StuG III) was a German assault and self-propelled gun of the Second World War built on the chassis of the Pz.Kpfw. III medium tank. The early Ausf. B version carried a short 7.5 cm StuK 37 L/24 gun and served to give infantry direct fire support. The vehicle had a low silhouette and no rotating turret.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a glass surface and make the bends on a bending tool or with a steel ruler. Glue metal to plastic with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the parts before painting and go over them with a primer, so that the paint adheres.
This is an accessory, not a complete model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
