The set is not a standalone model but an accessory meant to be fitted to the Trumpeter plastic kit of the German Fennek LGS light armored reconnaissance vehicle. The fine metal parts sharpen up the look of the finished model.
The Fennek is a four-wheeled armored reconnaissance vehicle developed by German and Dutch manufacturers. The LGS version serves to gather intelligence and is fitted with an extendable sensor head carrying optics and thermal imaging. It stands out for a low silhouette and an emphasis on moving unseen.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife and make the bends along the etched score lines. Use super glue to bond the metal, and before painting degrease it and go over it with a primer for metal. The fine grilles, the brackets and the tie-down loops show at their best once brought out with a wash and dust pigments.
This is an add-on photo-etched set. The base plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
