This is a set of photo-etched brass parts in 1:35 scale from the Polish manufacturer Aber. It is not a vehicle model but an accessory meant to raise the fidelity of a plastic kit of the Panther Ausf.D tank. The photo-etched parts replace thick-walled plastic features with thin metal pieces of true thickness and engraving.
The Pz.Kpfw. V Panther Ausf.D was the first production version of the German medium tank, fielded from 1943, among other places at Kursk. It combined thick sloped armor, a powerful 75 mm gun and good mobility, and became one of the key German tanks of the Second World War.
Separate the photo-etched parts with a sharp knife on a hard surface and shape the bends with a bending tool or a metal ruler. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) or with a two-part epoxy. Degrease the metal parts before painting and apply a primer so that the paint adheres well.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a standalone model. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
