Aber photo-etched detail set, vol. 1, the basic set for the German 12,8 cm Sf. L/61 Sturer Emil heavy tank destroyer in 1:35 scale is a metal accessory for a more faithful build.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is not a model of the vehicle but a set of photo-etched brass parts from the Polish firm Aber. The basic set (vol. 1) replaces and supplements the key plastic sections for models of the German 12,8 cm Selbstfahrlafette L/61 Sturer Emil heavy tank destroyer (Pz.Sf.V). The thin metal parts refine the build where plastic is too coarse.
Sturer Emil was a German experimental heavy tank destroyer of the Second World War with a powerful 128mm L/61 gun on a lengthened chassis. Only two prototypes were built; both were committed to action on the Eastern Front and became famous for the high number of targets they knocked out.
The parts are cut from the fret, cleaned up and bent along the engraved lines (a photo-etch bending tool helps). They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Degrease the metal before painting and lay down a primer for metal; fit the small parts with tweezers.
This is an accessory, not a model in its own right. The base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
