Aber 1:35 grilles for the German Pz.Kpfw. V Panther Ausf. G/F tank is a photo-etched set of engine compartment grilles that replaces coarsely molded plastic parts on a model in 1:35 scale.

This is not a model of a tank but a detail accessory. The photo-etched set replaces the grilles of the intake and outlet openings on the rear deck of the engine compartment on plastic kits of the Panther in the Ausf. G and Ausf. F versions in 1:35 scale. Plastic grilles tend to be thick and opaque in this scale, whereas photo-etched metal has the right thickness and a fine pattern, so you can see into the inside of the hull. The manufacturer is the Polish firm Aber, a long-standing specialist in photo-etched and turned metal accessories for military models.
The Pz.Kpfw. V Panther was a German medium tank of the Second World War with a long 75 mm gun, sloped armor and interleaved road wheels. The Ausf. G was the most numerously produced version, with a reworked hull side, while the Ausf. F was an intended late variant with a narrower turret that in practice never reached series production. The engine deck of both versions is densely broken up by cooling and exhaust openings covered with protective grilles, which are the most exposed features seen from above.
Sand or cut away the original plastic grilles and clean up the openings so that the photo-etched part seats flush. Separate the parts with a scalpel and make the bends in a photo-etch bending tool. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue applied in drops along the edges, so that glue does not get into the pattern. Degrease the photo-etched parts before painting and spray them with a primer for metal. Once painted, a dark wash and dust pigments work well in the grilles, because this is exactly where dirt, leaves and grease settled in reality.
The accessory is supplied as a photo-etched set, unpainted. A base kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
