The package holds three pieces, so you can build a continuous stretch of barricade straight away. It is supplied as unpainted castings to be cleaned up and painted.
Barriers are a versatile tool in a modern diorama: they fence off an excavation in a street, close the entrance to a site, mark out a checkpoint or the route of passing vehicles. In a post-apocalyptic subject they serve as the improvised defense of survivors. Three pieces let you build a line, a staggered corridor or individual obstacles set apart; combined with figures and vehicles in 1:35 a living traffic situation appears in moments.
In reality safety equipment is painted in bold signal combinations, typically alternating red or orange with white, which turns the prop into an accent of color in a scene. After the primer, lay on a light base, mask the stripes and add scuffs with a sponge where traffic hits the barriers. A dust wash at the foot and a few streaks of rust will give longer-serving pieces their conviction.
The accessories are supplied unpainted. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
