A set of seventy water jerrycans in 1:35 scale intended for detailing Israeli equipment and for filling out a diorama. It is not a vehicle model - it is a supply of small castings to be distributed into racks, onto fenders, onto the hull or loose around a scene. A large pack makes sense precisely where you need the same object in dozens, and counting them out one at a time would be an endless job.
A supply of drinking water is as important as fuel for equipment operating in a dry, hot environment, and Israeli vehicles therefore carry water jerrycans practically all the time - in storage racks, lashed to the grab handles and stacked inside the hull. The jerrycans are rarely uniform: they differ in age, in the degree of scuffing and often in color as well, because they were taken from various sources and circulated between vehicles.
With a number of parts like this it pays to work in batches. Leave the jerrycans on their casting blocks, wash them all together in lukewarm water with detergent and, once dry, spray them straight away with primer and the base color - only then cut them off one by one and touch in the small area left by the gate. That saves a great deal of handling of small parts. Vary them deliberately in color: use two or three close shades and distinguish the individual pieces by how scuffed and dusty they are, otherwise the pile looks like a production molding. Bring out the pressed-in ribs with a dry brush, run a dark wash into the recesses and finally unify the whole with a fine dust pigment. Fix jerrycans stacked on top of one another with a drop of cyanoacrylate glue, and a lashing can be suggested with a thin piece of wire as a strap.
The set is an accessory for a model, not a kit in its own right. It is supplied unpainted; glue, paints and the basic kit are not included in the package.
