This set contains two iron barriers cast in resin in 1:35 scale. It is not a vehicle or figure kit but a scenic accessory that completes the atmosphere of a diorama — a checkpoint, a street blockade, a marked-off area beside vehicles or in the rear. The parts are intended for more experienced modelers who put together their own scenes.
Iron barriers of this type were and still are used to close off roads, separate areas and act as an improvised obstacle. In a diorama they work as a natural element that gives the scene context and scale next to a tank, a vehicle or figures. Having two pieces lets you build a passage or a continuous line.
First wash the parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove any mold release agent. Carefully cut off the casting blocks and sprue attachments and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection. They are bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). For realistic metal, a dark base, steel and rust shades, final washes and pigments for dust and mud deposits work well.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
