This item is neither a model nor a kit but a modeling aid: a large-area silicone mold from the maker Js Work into which a paved surface for a diorama in 1:35 scale is cast. According to the name the mold measures about 270 x 180 mm, which against the ordinary small molds is a considerably larger area, so a continuous piece of paving is cast from it in one pour and there is less work putting partial segments together. The pattern corresponds to the third variant of paving in this line.
The mold is made of silicone, so the casting is easily taken out once it has set, without a release agent. The most common material is modeling plaster or a plaster mix with a fine filler; a resin can be used too. Mix the plaster thin, so that it runs into all the joints, and after pouring tap the mold lightly against the tabletop, which drives the air bubbles out. Let the casting cure thoroughly and only then take it out, or the edges will break off. The finished surface can be sanded lightly and broken up irregularly before painting, so that the paving does not come across as new. It is best painted with acrylic paints flooded on and with washes; the joints are brought out with a dark paint and the surface is unified with pigments. Wash the mold with water after use and let it dry freely.
