A figure of a Kriegsmarine crewman in 1:35, meant for models of fast boats and one-man craft. The manufacturer's part number 350003.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sailor of the Kriegsmarine of the period of the Second World War, according to the name a member of the crew. The fast torpedo boats, called Schnellboot in German, operated most often at night and in coastal waters; the crew worked on a cramped deck in waterproof clothing and on the move. Alongside the boats the name also gives one-man craft, that is the so-called human torpedoes, which the Kriegsmarine deployed in the last years of the war.
A figure in 1:35 to complete a model of a vessel or a scene. The manufacturer's packaging states the number of pieces and the pose; the name does not specify them. In 1:35 an adult figure works out at roughly five centimeters, so a figure beside a model will clearly show its size.
Cut the surplus material off with a sharp blade a little away from the figure and sand the remainder down. Then wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent and degrease them, otherwise the paint holds badly on a smooth surface. Start with a base coat and work from the basic tones toward the detail: deepen the folds of the clothing with a dark glaze and lighten the edges with a paler shade. Leave the face and the hands for the end, as it is by them that the result is judged, and work on them in good light. Finally even the surface out with a matte varnish and leave gloss only where it belongs.
For builders of ship models and scenes in 1:35 who are missing people on the deck. A single figure gives a model both scale and a story.
The model of the vessel, the paints and the glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
