The Kriegsmarine was the navy of Germany in the period of the Second World War. The figure represents an officer and belongs to the subject line designated as ceremonial, that is, to scenes with a crew parade, the handing over of orders or a welcome on board. The assignment to fast attack craft, with their small crews and cramped decks, follows directly from the name of the item. The fast craft designated Schnellboote were torpedo boats intended for night attacks on coastal shipping.
