A figure of a German sailor in 1:35 scale in a ceremonial pose, intended for a model of a Second World War fast torpedo boat.
Responsibility details are not available.
The fast torpedo boats of the Kriegsmarine, known as Schnellboot, were long wooden and steel craft with a shallow draft that attacked mainly at night in the English Channel and the North Sea during the Second World War. Besides working clothing, the crews also had a uniform for musters and ceremonial occasions, and that is exactly the scene this figure captures.
The package brings a figure of a sailor in 1:35 scale, that is in a size matching models of equipment in the same scale. The figure stands in a calm, upright pose, so it suits the deck, a quay or a scene with officers and guests. The extent of the package and any extras are stated in the manufacturer's instructions.
Before painting, wash the figure in lukewarm soapy water and degrease it, otherwise paint will not hold on the smooth surface. Super glue holds on all the materials figures are made from, so it is a safe choice. Lay down a base coat and build the paint up in thin layers; work a darker shade into the folds of the cloth and use a lighter one to bring out the edges. Leave the face and hands for last, as that is where the difference between a good figure and an average one shows most.
The package holds the figure. The model of the boat, paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
