An accessory in 1:35 scale: the machine gun ball mount in the frontal hull armor of the Panther Ausf. G tank, the rendering with the small opening, type 3. There are two pieces in the package.
Responsibility details are not available.
The Panther Ausf. G was the last serially built version of the German Panther medium tank. On it the machine gun in the frontal hull armor was covered by a ball mount, for which the German term Kugelblende has become established. Vehicles differed from one another in this place, even within one version: the difference lies above all in the size of the opening in the housing and in its shape. This set represents the rendering with the small opening, type 3.
The package carries two pieces of the part in 1:35 scale. Sister items in the same range cover type 1, type 2 and the rendering with the large opening, so a builder can choose the shape that matches the vehicle in a photograph or in a publication about the production batch concerned. Which specific kit the parts are tuned for is stated in the manufacturer's instructions; before buying, compare the shape and the dimension with the part you want to replace.
The parts are not polystyrene, so ordinary plastic cement will not join them; use cyanoacrylate glue and roughen the surface beforehand. Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder back, so that the shape of the opening is not disturbed. Wash and degrease the part before painting, otherwise paint holds badly on a smooth surface. The detailed preparation procedure is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The kit, paints and glue are not part of the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
