An injection-molded plastic kit of the Swedish Lvkv 9040C tracked anti-aircraft vehicle in 1:35 scale from Hobby Boss. The package holds plastic parts and, as a rule, small extras and decals as well. It is a modern armored vehicle with a strikingly angular outline that stands out on a shelf among classic tanks.
The Lvkv 9040 (Luftvärnskanonvagn) is the anti-aircraft version of the successful Swedish CV90 tracked combat family. On the proven chassis it carries a turret with an automatic 40 mm Bofors gun meant for destroying low-flying air targets; it is also used for fire support on the ground. The vehicle is a typical example of modern Nordic armor.
Finish the running gear and the lower hull before you close the hull up, and pay attention to the long gun barrel, which has to be kept straight. Lift the modern Swedish camouflage scheme with light accenting of the edges, washes in the engraved lines and restrained weathering; exaggerated mud does not look convincing on a machine as modern as this.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
