This pre-painted photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale completes a model of the LVT-4 amphibious carrier with boxes for 12.7 mm heavy machine gun ammunition. The color-printed parts carry realistic lettering and do away with painting small inscriptions. This is not a standalone model but an upgrade accessory for a plastic kit.
The LVT-4 Water Buffalo was an American amphibious tracked carrier of the Second World War, used above all in landing operations in the Pacific. The 12.7 mm heavy machine gun was part of its defensive armament, and boxes of ammunition were part of the vehicle's normal fit.
Separate the parts with a sharp knife and make the bends along the etched grooves with a bending tool. Use cyanoacrylate glue for the assembly. Do not sand through the printed color surfaces; fine touch-ups can be done with a brush. We recommend evening out the surface with a matte coat and weathering it lightly.
The set is an accessory for a plastic kit. The base model, the glue and the paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
