About product

Eduard 1:35 M-3 Grant fenders — photo-etched set

A photo-etched set from the Czech maker Eduard in 1:35 scale containing fenders for a model of the American M3 Grant medium tank. It is not a standalone model of the tank but an accessory for a plastic kit. The thin etched fenders replace the thicker plastic parts and look more faithful, and they are easy to bend into curved or damaged shapes.

The real subject

The M3 in the British Grant configuration was an American medium tank of the early Second World War with a 75 mm gun in a side sponson mount. The fenders above the tracks were among the distinctive features of its silhouette.

Building and painting tips

The etched fenders are separated, shaped as needed and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. A slight bend or suggested damage looks realistic. Degrease the brass before painting and spray a primer for metal, then weather it with dust and mud.

Who it is for

  • Advanced modelers of Allied armor in 1:35 scale.
  • Builders who want thin fenders they can shape.
  • Contest modelers aiming at detail.

This is an add-on photo-etched set. The plastic kit, glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.

FAQ

No. It is a photo-etched set of fenders for a plastic kit of the M3 Grant tank in 1:35 scale.

They are thin and more faithful than plastic, and they are easy to bend into curved or suggested damaged shapes.

Cyanoacrylate glue (super glue) works best. Ordinary cement for plastic will not hold on brass.
