It contains parts for refining the American M40 155 mm self-propelled howitzer, that is, fine elements of the superstructure, the fighting platform and the accessories. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory that replaces simplified plastic parts with more faithful photo-etch.
The M40 was an American 155 mm self-propelled gun on a lengthened chassis derived from the Sherman tank, committed in the closing stages of the Second World War and in the Korean War. The open fighting platform and the massive barrel are characteristic of the model and offer scope for detailing.
The photo-etched parts are separated from the fret, shaped with tweezers and glued with cyanoacrylate glue. The fine elements are installed step by step before the final assembly of the superstructure. For a three-dimensional look, careful painting and restrained weathering that brings out the texture are recommended.
