An injection-molded plastic kit of the American main battle tank M1 IP Abrams in 1:35 scale from the Panda Hobby brand. The package usually holds plastic parts, clear items, photo-etched parts, a steel tow cable and individual track links. It is a modern, richly detailed model of a particular transitional version of the Abrams.
The M1 IP (Improved Performance) was a partial modernization of the basic M1 Abrams tank, brought into production in 1984. The most noticeable difference is the so-called long turret with stronger frontal armor. The version was built only briefly — around 900 vehicles came about — and formed the transition between the original M1 and the later M1A1. The Abrams became one of the key modern Western tanks.
Assemble and clean up the hull and the running gear, put the individual track links together patiently, and before closing up consider painting the interior, which is visible through the openings. Glue the photo-etched parts and the cable with super glue. Once the base color is sprayed on, the volumes will come out thanks to washes and pigments for dust and mud effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
