This is not a model of the vehicle but a masking accessory. On the road wheels of the Bradley infantry fighting vehicle in the M2A3 and M3A3 versions in 1:35 scale the set separates the rubber tire band from the rim. The cut matches the wheels of the Meng kit — the shape of a wheel mask is tied to a particular molding, so check the match beforehand.
The Bradley has six road wheels with a rubber tire band on each side and return rollers above them, the drive sprocket at the front. Something else is decisive, though: the running gear is edged along its whole length by side skirts, and in the A3 versions further add-on side protection comes with them. The wheels end up in a narrow, deeply recessed slot that you cannot reach with a brush once it is assembled, let alone with an airbrush. If you do not manage to paint the wheels before you close the hull up, then, a second chance will not come. It is also true that what is left visible of the wheels in the end is only a lower band — all the more reason for it to be regular, because the eye compares it with the straight line of the skirt above it.
Lining a tire band with a brush assumes you can reach the wheel from the side and from above. That does not hold here — there is little room between the skirt and the track, and the brush leans against the surrounding parts before it finishes the edge. The sensible routine is the reverse: paint, mask and spray the wheels separately, and only then seat them and close them in with the skirts. A mask makes that routine possible with no drawing by hand and with the same result on all twelve wheels.
