An injection-molded plastic kit of the American M4A3 Sherman medium tank with the 75mm gun and a welded hull in 1:35 scale from Cyber-hobby. The set adds bonus stowage accessories — logs for recovery and backpacks, with which the hull and the turret can be loaded as in period photographs. The exact number of parts, the specific markings and the material of the accessories are given in the instructions enclosed in the package.
The M4 Sherman was the most widespread American medium tank of the Second World War and it served in many variants with Allied armies as well. The M4A3 version with the Ford gasoline engine formed the backbone of the American armored units; the welded hull and the wet stowage of the ammunition (the letter W) improved the survivability of the crew. The 75 mm gun handled anti-tank fire as well as infantry support. Recovery logs and personal equipment stowed on the armor were part of the typical look of Shermans in combat.
Finish the running gear and the road wheels and paint them before closing up the hull, attach the stowage and paint it separately so that it stands out against the armor. Glue the plastic with liquid cement. The base color is olive; accentuate the edges with a dry brush, a dark wash will deepen the panel lines and the stowage, and apply mud and dust pigments to the running gear for faithful weathering.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
