1:35 Mad Max - Poster & Street Ads

Mad Max - Poster and Street Ads 1:35 — a printed accessory for a diorama

A printed paper sheet in 1:35 scale from ETA diorama with motifs of posters and street advertising in a post-apocalyptic flavor. It is not a kit or a waterslide decal — the individual motifs are cut out and glued into a scene. The sheet is intended for adult collectors building genre dioramas.

Folding over an edge and flat areas

Paper has one great advantage over a decal: it can be folded. An advertising surface carried around the corner of a building, a poster folded over the edge of a crate or around a rounded pole looks convincing only when the material holds the fold. Before folding, dampen the paper lightly or run the blunt side of a scalpel along the edge, and the print will then not crack at the fold. Glue large areas step by step, not all at once, so that no bubbles are left.

Tips for gluing and weathering

• Apply the glue to the undercoat, not to the paper, so that the sheet does not buckle.
• Lifted corners and a torn edge will do a scene more good than a perfect trim.
• A wash in brown and gray tones gives the print a weathered look.
• Dry pigment on the bottom edge suggests dust blown up from the ground.
• Matte clear coat at the end unifies the surface with the surroundings of the diorama.

Who the sheet is for

For builders of post-apocalyptic and urban dioramas in 1:35 scale who complete finished models and structures with flat props. Also suitable for livening up a base under a vehicle or a figure.

It is a printed paper accessory for a diorama, not a kit and not a waterslide decal. Glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
