A photo-etched detail set in 1:35 scale from the Czech manufacturer Eduard. It contains fine brass parts of the top cover of the launcher of the MLRS self-propelled rocket system. The set sharpens the shape and texture of the cover above the rocket containers, which plastic parts can only manage in simplified form. Neither a model nor a base kit is included in the package.
The MLRS (Multiple Launch Rocket System) is an American tracked self-propelled rocket launcher introduced into service in the 1980s. It carries a launcher module with containers of unguided and guided rockets and became the backbone of the artillery fire support of a number of armies. The top cover of the launcher protects the containers and is a prominent detail of the launcher assembly.
Separate the etched parts with a sharp knife, make the bends over a bending tool or a metal ruler, and take care over the precise edges of the cover. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Degrease the metal before painting and apply a primer, ideally with an airbrush.
This is an add-on photo-etched set, not a model. The base kit, glue, paints and other accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
