The theme is a large rugged transport case of the Protector type, the kind used in modern military conditions for moving sensitive equipment. The model is done in 1:35 scale and belongs to the group of crates and transport containers.
Rugged cases of this type are recognized by their ribbed shell, substantial latches, handles and wheels on one edge. In a scene they suit anywhere something is being loaded, unloaded or stored: on the bed of a truck, on a pallet in a store, by the rear of an armored vehicle, on a pile of materiel at a field post or inside a workshop. It is exactly these small things that turn a vehicle model into an inhabited scene. For the sake of realism, make sure the cases lie stably and naturally: stacked slightly offset from one another, one open, another leaning against a side. Since they are mass-produced industrial items, repeating the same piece side by side also works well.
First clean and degrease the parts and lay down a primer appropriate to the material you find in the package. Choose the glue by the same test: cement for plastic on plastic, cyanoacrylate on other materials. The shell looks best in a flat shade, the latches and hinges in a darker metal tone instead. Pick out the ribbing with a dark wash that runs into the grooves and lift the edges gently with a dry brush. Suggest scuffed spots sparingly, usually only on the corners and around the handles. Finally add a little dust with pigment on the lower edge.
