Matho Models 1:35 movie posters A - the 1940s is a printed sheet of miniature posters in 1940s style for the streets and walls of wartime dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet of printed movie posters from Matho Models with motifs in the style of the 1940s. Posters on walls are among the details that anchor a diorama in time at once - cinemas and pasted-up film billboards were an inseparable part of the streets even during the Second World War. The miniature posters only need to be cut out and pasted into a scene in 1:35 scale.
Paste the posters onto facades, boundary walls, fences, notice boards or the front of a cinema. For a convincing look, apply a thin layer of thinned PVA glue to the back and press the poster down with a soft cloth - on coarser plaster it will ripple naturally like real pasted paper. You can leave the edges slightly lifted or torn, overlay older layers of posters with newer ones and unify the surface with matte varnish. Sun-faded paper can be imitated with a very fine dry brush in a light gray. The posters go superbly with wartime subjects from Europe as well as with civilian scenes, where they round out the atmosphere of the period and offer the viewer a small thing to discover. Combined with further pasted sheets, signs and notices you can create a layered surface on a wall that looks as though it had been living its own life for years.
This is a printed diorama accessory, not a model kit. The scissors, the glue and the varnish are not included in the package.
