The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. The maker is the Polish brand Toro Model, which specializes in figures and accessories in this scale.
The 1st Polish Armoured Division was a formation of Polish units on the Western Front which from the summer of 1944 took part in the fighting in North-West Europe, that is, in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and northern Germany. It was equipped and armed with British materiel, which is reflected in the figure's gear. The Bren is a British 7.7 mm light machine gun with a distinctive curved magazine above the weapon and a bipod, and it served as the main support weapon in infantry sections.
Wash the casting in lukewarm soapy water to get rid of the mold release agent. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection; go carefully on the thin parts of the weapon, as resin is brittle. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Paint the uniform in khaki tones and give the gear straps a slightly different shade so that they do not merge on the model. Bring out the folds with a dark wash and pick out the edges with a dry brush. The metal parts of the weapon look better in a dark shade with a faint graphite polish than in pure black.
