The 1:35 PaK 38 wheel masking set is a sheet of pre-cut templates, which during spraying separate the rubber of a wheel from its disk. The set is cut for the kit from the manufacturer Dragon.
Responsibility details are not available.
An accessory for painting, not a kit. The templates set the boundary between the rubber and the disk of a carriage wheel, so you do not have to draw it around freehand. The set is cut for the model of the antitank gun PaK 38 from the manufacturer Dragon.
The PaK 38 was a German 5 cm antitank gun on a split-trail carriage. Towed by a vehicle, the weapon moved on wheels with tires, which on a model in 1:35 scale are fairly small and yet stand in a very visible place of the whole assembly.
The wheels of artillery carriages belong among the smallest areas onto which a mask is applied in 1:35 scale, and they cannot be worked with in the fingers. Use tweezers with straight, smoothly ground tips, because jagged or too hard tweezers will tear the sheet. Lift the template by the margin with the tip of a scalpel, grip it as far as possible from the face that is to adhere, and lay it down by one margin first. Only then press it down around the perimeter with a blunt toothpick. Work over a light base, from which a small piece can be found again, and do not lay masks you have set aside onto paper, to which they would stick. It helps as well to stick the wheel beforehand onto a skewer or into a piece of modeling putty. You then have both hands free and the part does not turn while you press the mask down.
The package holds only the masking templates. The kit, paints and thinners are not included in it. Before purchase verify that you are building exactly the kit mentioned.
