An injection-molded plastic kit of the Chinese ZSD89 tracked armored personnel carrier in 1:35 scale. The set holds several hundred parts, a slide-molded lower and upper hull, entry doors that can be built in the open or the closed position, a photo-etched part with the grille for engine cooling and link-by-link tracks. The model is built by the conventional technique of gluing plastic.
The ZSD89 is an armored personnel carrier developed for the Chinese People's Liberation Army. It serves to carry infantry and to support units on the battlefield. The basic version carries a heavy machine gun of 12.7 mm caliber on the roof and a set of smoke grenade launchers. The vehicle belongs to the family of tracked carriers introduced in the Chinese army.
First finish the running gear and the individual track links, and only then close the hull. We recommend thin cement for plastic, a coat of base color (primer) and an airbrush for an even finish. For a realistic look, washes and pigments for mud and dust effects on the running gear suit well.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
