Plants and Weeds E from Matho Models widens the popular vegetation range by a further variant of plants and weeds in 1:35 scale. It is a scenic material, the raw material for making terrain yourself, not a finished decoration. Every set of the range brings different shapes of plants, so set E will serve well on its own as well as as a complement to the other variants for the most varied growth.
You will use the vegetation from set E on field boundaries, around fences and walls, in gardens, on the bank of a stream and on the verge of a field track. In combination with grass mats and scatters it creates a credible layering of growth: a low base, medium weeds, accents of height. It will naturally complement military equipment in the field as well as a peaceful civilian vignette with a farmhouse and figures.
Work plant by plant: separate, shape the leaves three-dimensionally, glue in with a drop of PVA glue. Plant them in irregular groups, as nature knows no regular spacing. Leave the adjustment of color to the end: earthy pigments at the roots, fine drybrushing on the tips of the leaves to lighten them. For scenes with an autumn mood a hint of ocher and brown helps.
