A hollow Evergreen plastic tube with an outer diameter of 6.3 mm, one piece 35 cm long.
Responsibility details are not available.
An outer diameter of 6.3 mm makes this part a universal raw material anywhere an opening is meant to be visible on a model. As soon as you cut the tube, a ring with a wall stays at the end, which the eye reads as a real pipe. A solid rod of the same diameter will never create that impression.
Most often it makes exhaust pipes, the funnels of ships and locomotives, masts, lighting columns, pipes run along the wall of a factory or vessels in an engine room. Smaller tubes from the same range can be slid inside a larger one to create a telescopic joint that imitates a change of diameter. Because it is polystyrene, liquid glue holds the joints and the transition can be sanded once dry.
Cutting a tube straight is harder than with a bar, because it deforms under the pressure of a knife. What works best is turning the tube slowly against a blade held perpendicular, which scores a groove around the circumference and the wall then separates by itself. Anyone with a small miter box gets an accurate perpendicular face with no effort. The inside can be freed of burr with a drill bit turned between your fingers.
Anyone who wants a really thin edge at the end of the pipe can carefully widen the inside with a tapered reamer. A few turns by hand are enough; under more pressure the wall tears through and the piece is unusable.
