MIG productions Plastic Chemical Drums 1:35 is a resin set of drums for dioramas and vignettes. It is a scenic accessory, not a vehicle kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set of resin castings represents plastic chemical drums, that is the containers that are part of the everyday equipment of workshops, warehouses, building sites and military bases today. The castings have a clean surface with molded ribs and closures, so after painting they look convincing even in a close-up. The accessory is meant for dioramas and vignettes in 1:35 scale, and neither the vehicle model nor figures are included.
Plastic drums bring modern scenes to life, from supply points and field workshops through industrial areas to civilian settings and post-apocalyptic themes. They work both as a scale reference and as an element that fills the empty areas of a base and directs the viewer's eye. They also suit a load on a vehicle bed or on a trailer.
First wash the castings in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue, otherwise the paint holds badly. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc, and do not snap them. They are glued with cyanoacrylate glue, as cement for plastic does not work on resin. Paint over a primer and imitate plastic with a satin to semi-matte varnish, because a completely matte surface looks like metal. Deal with the dirt by means of light filters, dust gathered at the bottom and spill marks around the closure rather than deep rust, as plastic containers do not corrode. Giving the individual drums different colors lends the scene a natural untidiness.
The set is supplied unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
