1:35 Plastic Road Bollards (5 pcs.) from Matho Models — a set of five plastic road bollards for modern dioramas. A small detail that anchors a scene by a road at once.
Responsibility details are not available.
A set of five road bollards in 1:35 scale from the production of Matho Models. It is not a model of a vehicle but a diorama prop: miniatures of the modern plastic delineator posts that line the verges of roads today. Five pieces are enough to fit out the edge of a roadway on a base of ordinary size credibly.
Plastic bollards date a scene unambiguously to the present; they suit modern military equipment, civilian vehicles, accident and rescue scenes or a vignette with figures by a road. The spacing of bollards along a road visually lengthens the roadway and gives a scene order, while one knocked over or set crooked tells a story instead. Combine them with vegetation on the verge and fine dusting of the roadway with pigments.
Wash the bollards in warm soapy water before painting and spray them with a light base coat. Real plastic posts tend to be white with a colored reflective band; carry the band out with a brush or with the help of narrow masking tape, and suggest the reflector with a drop of gloss paint. Credibility is given by a fine dark wash at the foot and dusting with pigments from passing cars. Glue them into a scene with cyanoacrylate or PVA glue according to the material of the surface.
The accessory is supplied unpainted. Glue and paints are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
