Polish Army 2007, tank crewman in black training overalls from Toro Model is a resin figure in 1:35 scale supplied with decals.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin figure of a tank crew member in 1:35 scale, shown in dark training overalls. According to the name, the box holds decals to add the insignia. The figure is dated to 2007, so it belongs with models of current armor rather than with scenes from the Second World War. It is supplied as an unpainted casting for assembly.
The training overalls of armored vehicle crews are a one-piece working garment of simple cut that protects the uniform and allows movement in the cramped space of a vehicle. A dark color is common with this type of dress and it presents the modeler with an interesting task: on a black surface the classic shading with a dark wash does not work, because in scale it merges away. The figure suits a turret hatch as well as a place beside the vehicle, in a training or parking scene.
Wash the casting in warm soapy water, cut the casting blocks off with a saw and sand the surfaces with respiratory protection; it is glued with cyanoacrylate glue. Do not spray the black overalls in pure black: start with a very dark gray and gradually highlight the raised areas and the edges of the folds, otherwise the figure will lose its shape. Tell details such as the belt or the boots apart by sheen rather than by shade. Apply the decals over a gloss clear coat and once dry unify them with a matte varnish. Try the placement in the hatch dry before you finish the vehicle.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Paints, glue and a vehicle model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
